Sari Filipino Kusina – Authentic Filipino Flavors & Vibrant Dining Experience in Annandale, VA

Amazing filipino food, fun music vibes, and staff energy made me feel like I was hanging with the fam on a Sunday afternoon. Their crispy pork and kare kare were flavorful and the portions were generous. The halo halo smoothie at the end was the perfect finale! The store was spacious for bigger groups and accessibility. Great service, great food, perfect vibes.

Our first time at this restaurant. We ordered the Lechon Kawali, Adobong Manok, and Smoked Adobo Wings. The food arrived in takeout plates and bowls. We enjoyed the dishes. There is a blend of sweet, sour, hot, and crispy all at once. Quite the combination. Go and Enjoy!

Sari Kusina just opened in Supreme BBQ and it’s fantastic. I love Paolo Dungca’s cooking. He opened Pogiboy, then Hiraya, and now this- finally a good Filipino spot in NoVa. I’ve been twice since it opened in early December and I enjoyed everything. The smoked beef rib bistek was massive and still tender. The brisket sinigang was so flavorful and unique. The lechon kawali was crispy but not greasy at all. I loved the ginataang gulay (butternut squash and other veggies in coconut milk). I also had the sisig, pork skewers, and the pork tocino ribs- all delicious. I highly recommend. I’ll be going back regularly.

First time having Filipino food, and I gotta say I was impressed! Everything my friends and I ordered was delicious - be that the crispy bbq pork or brisket on curry - and we left more than satisfied. I forget exactly what we ordered, but the pictures can speak for themselves! Part of me wishes the portion sizes were larger, though I also have a rather large appetite.

Disclaimer:: got take-out. Place was very clean and food came out piping hot. Staff attitudes were friendly and helpful. Ordered lumpia, siopao, pancit canton, pork sisig, garlic rice, atsara, and smoked adobo wings. Lumpia - classic pork shanghai. Filling was good, but kind of on the sparse side. Still - wrapper stayed crispy during travel in plastic container. Served with sweet chili sauce. Siopao - Ordered one pork to split. It was one of the larger ones and perfect for splitting. Would skip. Barely any filling. 1/3 of the bread/pastry was very hard. Likely microwaved to steam and was in for too long. Pass. Panict canton - Classic preparation. Nothing bad but also nothing stand-out. I think it comes down to whether or not you like canton or bihon style. Pork sisig - YUM!!! Perfect mix of onion, spices, pork bits, and vinegar. Served over rice! Only thing I wished is that there was an option for just sisig and not an "over rice" meal. Garlic rice - Only jasmine on the menu as a side. Requested garlic. Fried garlic topped over jasmine in over containers. Kind of surprised true garlic rice isn't an option, HOWEVER, I so appreciated them reading my note and adding the garlic. Attention to detail was great! Atsara - "Pickled" veggie condiment. AMAZING. Well-balanced! Sell by the jar please! Smoked adobo wings - Kind of pricey per wing, but the flavor profile is spot on. Really really good. I wish we took pictures of everything but we just kind of dug in because we were so hungry! On another note, I added that we had a shellfish allergy and between the bagoong and other sauces used in cooking, one person in our family had ZERO allergic reaction, so I believe this was taken very seriously. Kudos to everyone there for that! Would absolutely return to repeat some dishes and try new ones.

Sorry about the photos, we dug in too quickly! Lol. Overall, about a 4.2. Great customer service, friendly and professional and very helpful with dishes that were unfamiliar to my party. The Lumpia, Chicharron, and Lechon Kawali were very good. The BBQ Skewers were pretty good, along with the Pancit. The Adobo Wings were way too salty. The Turon and Ube Ice Cream were a hit! Wish they offered Liempo or the Filipino Spaghetti.

This is a nice small restaurant that serves up great, authentic Filipino food. The pancit bihon and kare kare were both very good. The atmosphere was nice, even though the restaurant was quite empty when we were there. They played nice, soft music. The service was also good. I would recommend this restaurant.

Filipino comfort food. They have meal deals. Otherwise, it could cost at least $20+ per person. They have Cebu lechon, palabok, bam I, lechon kawali, sisig, etc. Was not a fan of the sisig. It wasn't made with pig ear.
